Memento Mori LP
Two Tongues is the collaboration of longtime friends Max Bemis (Say Anything) and Chris Conley (Saves The Day) that formed in 2008, originating from a cover of Bob Dylan's "The Man In Me" that the two had worked on together. Bemis and Conley released their debut self titled album in 2009, and made their first live appearance in 2010. Since then, both Bemis and Conley have been busy with their respective bands. The duo's long awaited second studio effort, Two Tongues Two, is now available on vinyl courtesy of Equal Vision Records. Whereas lead single "Azalea" finds the duo experimenting with ominous synths and a haunting aesthetic, follow-up "Truly" is a timeless, visceral piece of guitar-centric rock and roll that perfectly captures the raw, emotional force that has come to define both Bemis and Conley as songwriters. There are very few musicians that have endeared themselves to an entire generation of rock fans the way Bemis and Conley have and "Truly" is a reminder of why this is the case.
