Album Details
Recorded as the relationship between Morrissey and Johnny Marr was beginning to disintegrate, 1987's Strangeways, Here We Come would serve as the Smiths' graceful swan song. Ironically, both Morrissey and Marr consider it to be the group's best. Experimenting with sound and arrangement more than ever before, the album is a sonically rich affair filled with extremes and elaborate production. Among its many highlights are its signature tune "Girlfriend In A Coma" and the autobiographical "Paint A Vulgar Picture" which contains some of the most inspired, melodic guitar work of Marr's legendary career.
Remastered with supervision by Johnny Marr, this LP has never sounded better. Complete with original sleeves and packaging. A must!
